U-Knighted Knights help with March of Dimes Walk.

Posted on: May 9, 2017

On Sunday, April 30, the Northwest U-Knighted Knights students traveled to Sawyer Point Park to assist with the March of Dimes walk and event. Approximately 70 Northwest High School students monitored the Kids Zone activities - "Bouncy Houses," Kids Games, Art stations, face painting, etc. - and assisted in the Super Hero runs, which raise funds by having children race across the grass infield of the park.

The U-Knighted Knights represented their organization and their school with dignity and class and were awarded "Volunteer Group of the Year" for the fifth consecutive year by the March of Dimes organization. Special thanks go out to U-Knighted Knights co-sponsors Brett Van Gaasbeck and Chris Wagner, the Northwest High School executive board of the U-Knighted Knights, and our contacts and supervisors for the March of Dimes, Kenny and Jamie Pierson
