Multicultural Club

Information about our Multicultural Club

The goal of this club is to have each student come away with a broader knowledge base of what multiculturalism stands for. They will also be able to work on their presentation skills, have opportunities to share what they have learned, and effectively learn how to bring a group of people together.

The mission statement for this group is:  The Multicultural Club's focus is to promote awareness and appreciation of diverse cultures.  This includes being aware, respecting, and embracing the variety of diverse aspects of humanity.

What these students stand to gain out of these interactions is to show others how to embrace those cultures that look different from their own.

This club represents 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders at Struble Elementary School who were elected by their peers to be a part of this club.  Within the club students also elect a Chairperson, Vice Chair, and Secretary. This gives students the opportunity to participate in leadership roles.

Meeting dates for this club are every Thursday 3:15pm-4:15 pm@ Struble Elementary.

MC Club Art Project

Art project:  Each student had a chance to recreate their own image by using skin tone construction paper, yarn, popsicle sticks, googly eyes and other materials that would help them construct the way they view themselves.  Then we talked about our physical difference and how that relates back to their culture.
