2018 AP Exams

Registration: February 12th – March 16th

Registration forms are available in the Guidance Department.  Please submit completed forms to Mrs. Snyder in the Guidance Department.

Test Fee: $94 – Regular Test Fee

                          $53 – Students qualifying for free and reduced lunch.

Payment:  All Payments should be made through EZ Pay.  Log into your EZ Pay account (or create an account, if needed), select the “Activity Fees” tab, and then select:

            CHS AP Test A – regular test fee

            CHS AP Test B – Students enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch

Select the quantity of tests you will be taking and submit payment.

Exam Times

  1. Morning tests will begin at 7:30am.  Afternoon tests will begin at 12:00pm.  Students should arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of each test.
  2. Students will NOT be permitted to leave the testing room for any reason once testing has started.  Total testing time is approximately 3-3.5 hours. 
  3. It is the responsibility of the student to notify parents, coaches, sponsors, or supervisors of the testing schedule and make any necessary arrangements for transportation.

Testing Location:   Advanced Placement (AP) exams will take place at Northwest Community Church (located in front of Colerain High School). 

What to Bring to the Exam: 

-         SEVERAL sharpened No. 2 pencils with erasers (mechanical pencils are NOT permitted)

-         3-4 black or blue ink pens

-         A watch (without an alarm)

-         An approved calculator

What NOT to Bring to the Exam:

-         Electronic equipment (INCLUDING CELL PHONES AND SMART WATCHES)

-         Books, dictionaries, notebooks, reference guides or scratch paper

-         Watches that have beeps or alarms

-         FOOD or DRINKS (food and drinks will only be permitted OUTSIDE of the testing room during scheduled breaks).

BREAKS: 

All tests have at least one scheduled break.  Students are permitted to eat a snack outside of the testing room during the break.  STUDENTS will be responsible for bring their own snack.

TIPS for Test Day:

  1. Arrive on time! Once testing begins, you will not be permitted to enter.
  2. Eat a good healthy breakfast and lunch. Testing will take up to 3 ½ hours.
  3. If you have 2 tests in one day, be sure to pack a lunch! There will be limited time between the tests.
  4. BRING A SNACK for break time. It needs to be kept in your book bag on the floor during testing. This should be a quick and easy snack….break is only 10 minutes.
  5. Wear comfortable, school appropriate clothing. 
  6. Afternoon testing will go beyond the school day. Be sure to arrange transportation and let coaches and after school activities advisors know that you will be late on testing day.
  7. You must remain in the testing room until all testing is complete. Be sure to use time wisely and DO NOT RUSH. 
  8. Bring an umbrella if rain is in the forecast.
