Baseball - Reds Futures High School Showcase 

Support your Colerain Varsity Baseball team when the Cardinals play in the Chili Reds Futures High School Showcase. 

This Thursday, April 27th, the CHS Baseball team will be playing Northwest at UC in the 3rd annual Bertram game.  Tickets are currently for sale in the AD office and will be sold next week at lunch.  Tickets are $10.00 and the first 200 sold include a t-shirt.  All ticket sales go to the Bertram Foundation. 

C-STEM NIGHT @ White Oak Middle School


Join us for Coneys and Computations!


Who:  Community Members, Staff, and Students.

What:   An open House showcasing C-Stem programming, link-bots, and the Math Connection.

When: April 27, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Where: White Oak Middle School Gymnasium


Why: To engage students and community members in critical thinking and other 21st-century skills through collaborative activities.


Colerain High School Hall of Fame Breakfast of Champions 2017


The inductees for the 2017 Colerain High School Hall of Fame will be honored on Saturday May 20, 2017 as part of the twenty first annual Breakfast of Champions at Colerain High School.  The Boosters have invited all former Hall of Fame inductees to return and be a part of this year’s program.   In addition, all current Colerain High athletes with All GMC Honorable Mention or member of a team that won a championship will be recognized.  This Colerain Booster event is open to the public FREE of charge and begins with a breakfast at 8:30 AM in the Colerain High Cafeteria. The program will start at approximately 9:15AM.  Call CHS 404-5679 for details.

All Day Kindergarten Pilot Program


The Northwest Local School District is excited to announce that an all-day kindergarten pilot will be put in place in three schools beginning in the 2017-18 school year. 


One classroom of 24 students at each of the three schools (Monfort Heights, Taylor and Welch) will be designated for all-day kindergarten.  The program will be offered at no cost to parents.  Students will be selected based on a lottery held on May 26, 2017.  Students from the three identified schools must be fully registered by 4:00 p.m. on May 25, 2017 in order to participate in the lottery. 


The district carefully examined enrollment numbers and space available in order to select pilot schools. The pilot will allow the district to examine schedules, teaching methods and curriculum needs related to all-day kindergarten as we prepare for full implementation of all-day kindergarten for the 2018-19 school year. 


Kindergarten registration begins on March 1st.  Families who are interested in the pilot program are encouraged to register early. 



More transparency with Northwest Local School District Nutrition Menus


Beginning in April, parents and students will be pleasantly surprised when they look at lunch menus in Northwest Local School District. The Food Service Department has just launched an interactive menu tool that provides greater insight and information about their menus.

The website http://nwlsd.nutrislice.com, allows parents and students to see pictures, descriptions, nutrition information, and carb counts for each day’s menu.  The innovative and interactive site and mobile app make our school menus more convenient and informative than ever before!

“Our nutrition program has made some incredible improvements to our menu.” said Lisa Robison, Supervisor of Food Services. “This tool allows us to show our customers how we incorporate whole grains, fruits & vegetables, and low sodium favorites in our menus.”

NWLSD Digital School Lunch Menu

Food services will be rolling out a new digital menu program this month. This program has focused content, interactive menus with nutritionals, and offers monthly parent newsletters.  It will include carb counts and allergens on our products.  The interactive menu lets you sort by products without certain allergens to assist in figuring out what a child can safely eat.  It also is available in an app for your phone so it can be easily accessed on the go.

Finances 101 games is coming to Colerain High School on Tuesday, May 9th.  

We NEED volunteers!!!  

Finances 101 is a fun and interactive way for high school students to learn the Game of Life.  During the event, the students will travel through a life-sized game board in which they'll be assigned a career and a salary, and will roll the dice to determine the number of children they'll have.  Along the way, they will have to figure out how they will pay for rent, food, insurance, car payments, and for life's little surprises.  The game emphasizes how earnings impact buying decisions, setting a budget, what it really costs to run a household, and how to spend within one's means.  


Volunteers will staff a station at the game.  No math skills are needed; just adults who have learned to navigate through life!   Training will be provided prior to the start of the game. Chairs will be available, so volunteers may be seated during the game.

Times:  Full Day: 7:15 am-3:00 pm or Morning Session: 7:15-11:30 am or Afternoon Session: 11:00-3:00 pm

First Annual Colerain CARdinal Show 

Introducing the first annual Colerain CARdinal Show, sponsored by CHS Class of 2019, Saturday, May 20, 2017. The show is open to all makes and models, cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Pre-registration is $15 and includes event T-shirt. Registration day of the event will be $15. T-shirts can be purchased day of the event for $10 ($12 for XXL and larger). Admission to the show is free to the general public. Dash plaques and goody bags to the first 100 registered and door prizes will be drawn every hour. Plaques will be awarded (3 top prizes TBD) and Fan Favorite (fans may purchase tickets to cast their votes). Music, concessions, and other events will be available (cash only). At this time, only mail-in registrations can be accepted by cash or check. We apologize for any inconvenience! All proceeds will benefit the Colerain High School Class of 2019 to provide activities and supplies for students. Colerain High School Shoe Collection Fundraiser

Colerain High School will be collecting shoes as a fundraiser.  Shoes are sent to organizations in Haiti, Honduras, and Nicaragua to help locals set up micro businesses.  These shoes are not recycled - that is why we will only be collecting pairs of gently used shoes.  Shoes cannot have holes in them.  Please help us spread the word to family and friends.  

  • Dates - March 15-May 15

  • Gently Worn - please no holes
  • No out of pocket cost
  • Men's, women's, and children's shoes are accepted and welcomed
  • Collection bins are located in each building for easy drop off.  Bags are provided and we will develop a team for bagging and loading.
