Renewal Levy

On May 2nd Northwest Local Schools will place a Renewal Operating Levy on the ballot.  The renewal will maintain 7.3 million dollars for the Northwest Local School District’s operating budget.  This is not a new levy, but instead a renewal of an operating levy.  This renewal provides the district operating funds that are needed for everyday operations.   This current operating levy costs the homeowner of a $100,000 home $154.92.  With the passage of the renewal levy, the payment will be reduced, YES, reduced to $148.44 per year.  Another advantage of the renewal passage is that property owners will keep their 2.5% homestead and 10% rollback relief tax incentives.  If the renewal would not pass, homeowners would lose both tax relief programs permanently.   Please remember to exercise your right to vote on May 2nd!

If you have questions or would like to engage a speaker on the renewal levy, contact Todd Bowling or Pauletta Crowley
