Construction Protestors

Posted on: December 14, 2017

This week, there have been a very small handful of negative social media posts regarding one of the subcontractors, Merit Erectors and Avenue Fabricating. We want to assure you that the safety and quality of our three new schools is of the utmost priority to us and the work performed on the projects is meeting quality inspections by both our onsite design and construction team, and a third party inspector without incident.

All subcontractors working on the Northwest Local School District projects have gone through a rigorous prequalification process. In addition to following the required daily safety and quality protocols, there is also a third-party inspector reviewing all steel installations and welds for the three new schools.  In addition, all welding certifications were reviewed without issue. Our construction and design management team also specifically cross-checked the certifications against Merit employees directly working on the projects and verified that all workers were certified.

Safety is our top priority and we will continue to provide a safe work environment during construction and after completion to ensure the well-being of everyone involved with these projects and future students and staff.
