CHS Families:
This Thursday and Friday is the Algebra & Geometry state test. This test counts towards graduation and per state guidelines has to be administered in person. Testing will begin at 8:10am and conclude at 10:20am. Students need to attend both days. Part 1 will be given Thursday and Part 2 Friday.
Students in Algebra 1b, Algebra, or Geometry class will be testing.
Students enrolled in Algebra 1A or any other math class will not need to come in until 10:25am.
*All in-person students will start school at 10:25am.
This test is both for in-person and remote students. If you are an in person student you will report directly to your cohort to test. If you are a remote student your testing room assignment will be posted in the front lobby.
Prior to Testing:
- Get a good night's rest!
- Bring your school chromebook charged and ready to use for testing (test is administered online).
- Bring a pencil/something to write with. Students may use scrap paper during the test. Scrap paper will be provided.
- Online calculators are available on the state testing site. We will not pass out a seperate calculator to students. If you prefer a seperate calculator feel free to bring your own.
During Testing:
- No phones or smart watches during testing!
- Use your chromebook for testing, do not log in but rather hit the "Apps" icon in the bottom left-hand corner and select "Secure TestBrowser".
- Follow all directions and prompts given by the test proctor.
- Do your best! Points earned on the test count toward graduation requirements.
After Testing:
- REMOTE STUDENTS should arrange to be picked up at 10:20am. Students receiving accommodations during testing may release slightly later.
- In-person students will stay in their regular cohorts for the remainder of the day.
- Students can expect to eat in their assigned lunch times/locations.

Monday, April 19th- History- All Sophomores
Monday, April 19th- Government- All Juniors
Tuesday, April 20th- Biology- Sophomores & Freshmen taking Honors Biology
Students Not Testing
- Students not testing on 4/15-4/20 will start school @10:25am.
- Students will stay in cohorts the whole day.
- The Butler Tech Shuttle bus will leave at 10:15am.
- On Thursday, Butler Tech Juniors report to their program at 10:25am.
- On Friday, Butler Tech Seniors will report to their program at 10:25am.
- Monday (4/19) BT Juniors. Tuesday (4/20) BT Seniors.
