It has been great to see our community rally together to support the Bengals. After almost two years of teaching and learning through a pandemic, our students, families, and staff are looking forward to cheering our local team to a Super Bowl Championship on February 13. In observance and celebration of this historic moment, we will close school Monday, February 14, 2022. We hope everyone can take time to relax, connect with family and friends, and build upon our collective sense of community.
As we take time to celebrate with our community, we also would like to come together to support our local community organizations that do so much to support our schools. As part of our celebration, we are encouraging our staff, parents and community members to support the following community organizations: SON Ministries, Side-By-Side and Nate’s Toy Box, through charitable giving. To show our support, NWLSD schools will serve as drop-off collection centers. *Items can be dropped off Monday, February 7, 2022 - Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
Son Ministries: Non-perishable food items
Side-By-Side: New travel size toiletries: toothpaste, toothbrush, soap and deodorant
Nate’s Toy Box: New toys (Ages 0 -12 years old)
Health Fair: New school supplies (PreK -12th grade students)
*Simply bring or have your student bring any of the above mentioned items to the main office of any of our buildings to drop them off and support the organizations and our community.
