Northwest Local School District (NWLSD) is proud to welcome Ryan Whitaker as the new Assistant Principal of Monfort Heights Elementary School.

Ryan has over 15 years of teaching experience in education and his love for instilling inspiration and excitement to children in the classroom was sparked during his time working for Northwest Local Schools. Ryan received his first classroom teaching job in 2007 at a small Catholic school in Cincinnati Price Hill called Resurrection, but fell in love with NWLSD as a long-term substitute teacher at Pleasant Run Middle School (PRMS) in 2006.  In 2008, he had the opportunity to return to PRMS as an 8th grade Science teacher and has been working faithfully as a PRMS Knight ever since.  In 2013, he moved to the role of Dean of Students where he was fortunate to work with and learn from a team of extraordinary leaders.
“PRMS will always have a place in my heart and be a part of my family!  I learned so much there, built lifelong friendships, and have so much appreciation and respect for what takes place at 11770 Pippin Rd.,” said Whitaker.  It has been an absolute honor to work with all of them.”
Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge and education to Monfort Heights Elementary. Ryan received his Bachelor of Science in Education in 2006 and a Master of Education in 2014, both from the University of Cincinnati.  He recently finished his School Administration Certificate from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2021.
Ryan will step into his new role as Assistant Principal on August 1, at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
“While I leave PRMS with a heavy heart, I enter Monfort Heights with open arms. I am so excited for this amazing new opportunity and can not wait to begin my next chapter with the Musketeer family!”
