NWHS Junior Wins 2nd Place in Plein Air Art Competition

NWHS Junior Wins Second Place in the 2020 Plein Air Student Art Competition!

Northwest High School junior, Landden Hill, received 2nd Place in the 2020 Annual Plein Air High School Student Art Competition! The competition took place at Greenacres Arts Center in Indian Hill. High school artists from all over Greater Cincinnati competed by submitting their artwork.
Landden, who finds beauty in scenery, submitted architectural drawings of multiple estates. “I’ve always enjoyed art from a young age,” said Hill.  “I think that art can bring some much needed meaning into your life.”

Landden was awarded with a check for $100, and a $50 gift card for art supplies. His work will be framed and displayed at a prominent location in Cincinnati for the 2020-2021 year. This year, the location will be either at the Cincinnati Zoo or the Cincinnati Art Museum.

“We are so proud of Landden,” said Andrea Stewart, Northwest High School Art Teacher. “He is one of the most naturally talented students I’ve had the pleasure of working with. This is his third year in the visual arts program here at Northwest High School and his skill set just increases exponentially every year. I love that the Cincinnati Art Club gave Landden a chance to showcase his skill.”
