NWLSD is Offering Two Free Parent Classes

08/20/2021

Northwest Local School District (NWLSD) is partnering with Village Empowerment Community Services organization for a third year, to offer two 10-week long parenting classes that focus on equipping parents and caregivers with the skills and the resources that they need to help build their student’s social and emotional development. In past years, NWLSD offered The Parent Project and Loving Solutions class to over 50 families. This year, we hope to impact even more families. Both classes are set to begin in September of this year.

The program is completely FREE to all parents and caregivers of NWLSD K-12th grade students. Childcare (all ages) and dinner will also be provided.

Families that participate in these workshops will have the option to participate and learn virtually or in person. They will also be able to:

• Learn how to never argue with your child again!
• Get answers surrounding parenting for children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD!
• Help students improve school performance!
• Find resources to help your family!
