Band
A student quality or better instrument in good working condition clearly labeled with name. Avoid “$99” specials at big box stores and online. Please consult the director before purchasing an instrument.
Appropriate supplies for your instrument (drum sticks, reeds, valve oil, cleaning brush).
Reeds should be 2 1/2 strength or higher. Better reeds will last longer (Vandoren, Mitchell Lurie, LaVoz). No plastic or flavored reeds please!
Band method book. Students need their book from last year.

Optional but highly recommended: Music stand for home practice; Metronome, tuner, (available as phone app), cleaning/care kit.
