Northwest Local School District is proud to recognize SON Ministries Food Pantry as a Summa Cum Laude Business Partner in appreciation of more than four decades of dedicated service to NWLSD students and families.
For 44 years, SON Ministries has served Northwest as its primary territory, providing consistent, reliable food support through its all-volunteer food pantry. With 43 board members and volunteers contributing thousands of hours each year, SON Ministries remains open nearly year-round to meet the needs of families across our community.
Beyond weekly pantry services, SON Ministries has made a significant impact through its annual Thanksgiving and Christmas outreach events for NWLSD families. These efforts include full holiday meal boxes, Kroger gift cards, and Carol’s Tree donations. Over the past four years alone, SON Ministries has contributed more than $70,000 in food, gift cards, and holiday support to Northwest families.
SON Ministries has also strengthened its partnership with the district by engaging NWLSD athletic teams in service opportunities, welcoming special needs students from Colerain High School and Northwest High School to assist with the Carol’s Tree project, participating in the district’s Health & Safety Fair, and supporting school-based food pantries - most recently through contributions to Taylor Elementary.
