Before beginning open field/gym, practice, or tryouts, athletes MUST:

-Upload physical to FF
-Complete all forms/signatures on FF
-Always wear appropriate attire and bring a water bottle

Please bring a water bottle and optional gear (knee pads, elbow pads).
Please wear appropriate footwear (athletic gym shoes)—no crocs, boots, canvas shoes, etc.

Starting on Monday July 14, 2025 we will begin conditioning and workouts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 at CMS field.

Mandatory practice begins Monday, August 4th (M-F) 9:30-11:30 @ CMS

All runners should be running 3-4 days a week , 20 mins on their own until practices begin.

Cheer Practice - practices will begin in mid July, T/Th, 10-12 in the cafeteria. Once school starts practices will switch to T/W, 2:30-4:30. Football game days are on Thursdays. Coach - abenedict@nwlsd.org

Kona Ice is coming on 10/30!

Hello- This morning we met with our 7th and 8th graders interested in playing a winter sport. A few reminders: All students must be registered on Final Forms. All students must have an up to date physical either uploaded to final forms or turned into the Athletic Director. Students must be in good academic standing. Students were given a calendar that had all open gyms, practices and games listed. They were introduced to the coaches and were told the expectations to participate. Our first round of conferences will be held tomorrow from 3-6:30pm. Our next conference night is October 3rd from 3-6:30pm.

We want to remind you that Tuesday, September 10, will be a 2-hour late start day for all students. Please note that school end times will remain the same as usual. Buses will still run on the delayed schedule, ensuring that students arrive safely to school. However, there will be no AM Pre-School sessions on this day. *Please note -Butler Tech buses will run on normal schedules departing CHS & NWHS at 6:45 AM. There will be a total of four late start days this year. Late Start days are marked in orange on the 2024-2025 school calendar.

We are excited to see our 6th graders Monday and our 7th and 8th graders Tuesday! To ensure arrival and dismissal go smoothly, please review the drop-off and pick-up procedures for car riders. We are looking forward to a fantastic school year!

Open House is coming up this week on Wednesday, August 14th from 4-6 pm. There is a fall sports meeting from 3:30-4 as well. We look forward to seeing everyone!
