General Announcements
Is your student interested in taking CCP (College Credit Plus) courses next school year? Our annual Parent/Student CCP Informational Night is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9 at 6:00 p.m. in room 223 at NWHS. This meeting is mandatory for anyone interested in the CCP Program. Individual counseling sessions will be available after this meeting during the upcoming conference nights in February. If you have further questions about this program please schedule an appointment with your child's counselor using the online conference registration form.
If your child is struggling we offer after school help sessions Monday - Thursday from 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. Please reach out to your child's teachers to schedule a tutoring session.
College Corner
Important Scholarship Information:
On December 10th during 2nd bell, the counselors at Northwest High School will host an informational meeting regarding the Knights Scholarship Packet, which will be released on December 15th. This scholarship opportunity is exclusively available to Northwest High School seniors. All applications must be submitted by the deadline of March 2nd. Seniors are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about the application process and requirements.

Testing
AP Exams have now been ordered. Exam fees can be paid through your Infinite Campus account. All exams fees must be paid by March 1st, 2026. Price per exam is $99. If your child is on free/reduced lunch and you have elected to have your school fees waived their exam will be free.
All Juniors will take the ACT in March of this year. This college admissions test has several test prep options. It is highly recommended students prepare prior to testing. Here are some helpful test prep links: Ohio Means Jobs and March2Success.
Butler Tech
Butler Tech applications are now open! You can submit your application now through January 31st using the link Butler Tech Application and clicking "Apply Now" in the lower middle of the webpage. When applying please use an email that you check regularly.
In order to be considered for any Butler Tech programming (Butler Tech campuses and Northwest Local campuses) all applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on January 31st, 2026. No late applications will be accepted after this date.
Information on Butler Tech 3 year programs (for current freshmen) and 1 year programs (for current seniors) will be available closer to January. Please click here to learn more about these programs.

Graduation Updates
