25-26 School Year Celebration
As early results have come in from the state; Northwest High School has been awarded 4 stars for the second year in a row. With the progress we have been steadily making the past two years we are on the path to be a 4.5 star school at the end of this school year. This is thanks to the hard work and dedication of our staff, students and families!
Sophomore Tours Butler Tech
Attention Northwest High School 10th Graders! It is time for you to explore what Butler Tech can offer you at NWLSD! We will be hosting Sophomore Tours at NW on Tuesday, September 29th. You will use the Google Form below to choose up to 3 programs to visit during the tours. You will be taken on tours through the NW lab spaces to see the programs that are hosted at NWHS and have a chance to meet the instructors from Colerain High School to hear about the programs they have to offer. The Butler Tech Lottery will open on November 1st and you will have a chance to apply for both NWLSD Butler Tech Programs and Butler Tech Campus Programs. Tours of the campus programs will be coming up later in October. Stay tuned for that information. You will sign up separately for those field trips. Link to NW Sophomore Tour Google Form (bit.ly/2026nwtours). The deadline to fill out the form is Friday, September 25th. All responses will be turned off at the end of the school day on the 25th.
Attendance Matters
Missing more than 2 days a month, 8 days a semester or 16 days in a year creates the extreme likelihood that students will fail a class and also increases their chances of not graduating high school.
Please find every opportunity to schedule appointments outside of the school day or bring students to school during the other part of the day they have an appointment.
Parking Passes
Any student parking on campus must fill out an application in the office and pay the fee on infinite campus. Students may not leave during the day or go to the parking lot.

No out of School suspensions
Lunch/Deliveries
As a reminder no students should be leaving campus during lunch and no food deliveries are allowed at any time. Food will be confiscated and discipline will be issued.

Schools of Wellness Student School-Assessment Survey
Later this month, students at Northwest High School will be invited to complete a brief survey about wellness at their school.
This is not a survey about an individual student's mental health or personal life. Students will not be asked to provide their names or share private information. Instead, the survey asks students what they notice and experience at school-for example, whether students have opportunities to build relationships and have access to resources that support their well-being.
The survey is part of Northwest High School's s participation in HEY! Schools of Wellness. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Student responses will help the school identify strengths and decide which of the eight dimensions of wellness should receive additional attention and investment.
Survey responses are anonymous and will not be connected to individual students. Results will be reviewed as a group by [School Name] and HEY! staff. No individual student's answers will be shared.
Students may choose not to participate or stop the survey at any time. A "Not sure" option is available when they are unsure how to answer. School counselors will also be available if a student has questions or concerns.
Students may have an opportunity to volunteer for a follow-up focus group about the survey results. Any contact information used to sign up will be collected separately and will not be connected to their survey answers.
If you do not want your student to participate, please contact ashrewsberry@nwlsd.org. If you are comfortable with your student participating, you do not need to take any action.
