Mr. Flickinger's CCP Ohio History and CCP Western Civilization classes visited the German Heritage Museum on West Fork Rd in Monfort Heights, and the Siege of Fort Colerain site at Colerain Heritage Park on East Miami River Road on Tuesday. The students learned firsthand about the push-pull factors for German Immigrants to the US and Cincinnati in the 1800s and 1900s, as well as the preservation efforts of historical sites by groups like the Colerain Historical Society and Colerain Township. Beyond enjoying the beautiful weather, the students learned a lot about the tremendous amount of history preserved right here in their own backyards!
