Ms. Wiwi began her career in NWLSD as an intervention specialist at Houston Elementary before it was repurposed into Houston Early Learning Center. She has always been passionate about working with students with special needs. After working in administrative roles across several districts, we’re excited to welcome her back to serve our kids!

NWLSD will once again partner with Colerain Township First Responders and the Hamilton County Communications Center to conduct critical incident training aimed at strengthening school safety and emergency preparedness. The trainings will take place on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Northwest High School.
THE TRAININGS ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
To create a realistic training environment, simulated gunfire using blank rounds will be used, and emergency vehicles and personnel will be on-site throughout the day. Community members should not be alarmed by their presence.
“This training is an essential part of our commitment to keeping students, staff, and our community safe," said Darrell Yater, Superintendent of Northwest Local School District.

Valentine's cards and candy are temporary, but a love of reading is forever!
We will be celebrating our students, staff and community at our Northwest High School annual parade! This year, the parade will be held on: Friday, September 20, 2024. The Homecoming theme is A Knight in the Enchanted Forest. The parade route begins at CIVIC CENTER DR. behind the North Central Library. Entrance to the parade will be off of the Civic Center Drive. Parade will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. *Line up starts at 4:15 PM @ Civic Center Drive. The Parade will travel down Civic Center Dr., turn Left on Pippin and Right into Northwest High School.
We want to remind you that Tuesday, September 10, will be a 2-hour late start day for all students. Please note that school end times will remain the same as usual.
Buses will still run on the delayed schedule, ensuring that students arrive safely to school. However, there will be no AM Pre-School sessions on this day.
*Please note -Butler Tech buses will run on normal schedules departing CHS & NWHS at 6:45 AM.
There will be a total of four late start days this year. Late Start days are marked in orange on the 2024-2025 school calendar.
Kindergarten Screening - August 6, 2024

Please enter your student's first and last name when registering. Only Names and Comments will be visible to those signing up.
Students will go through portions of the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) with a current Kindergarten teacher. The KRA is a state-required assessment for all incoming Kindergartners, and participation in this summer screening will help minimize the number of assessments the students will need to be exposed to at the start of the school year. There is no need to study or prepare for this experience, but participation will allow us to schedule students into classes providing the best classroom balance for learning success. Students who speak a primary language other than English will also meet the English Language Learning teacher, please plan to add 10 minutes to the scheduled 20-minute appointment for this experience. We look forward to having you and your child join the PRE Knight Family!!

The website will request a username and password for each student to be updated. The username is each student’s district ID (the number used to purchase lunch) and the password will be their date of birth:

If you do not have your child’s ID number, please contact your child’s school.

Craig solidified himself as our leadoff hitter and right fielder. He's a dynamic player with speed, power and athleticism. During the last week, Craig is hitting .312, 5H, 2B, 2 3B, HR, 4RBI, 4R and SB. On the mound .2IP, 1K, and 0 runs allowed all season.
