Thank you for your patience and understanding during the early dismissal today as we addressed the unexpected cafeteria leak. Ensuring student safety is always our top priority, and we appreciate your flexibility as we worked to dismiss students safely and efficiently.
We recognize that changes to dismissal can be inconvenient, and we are grateful for your cooperation and support. Our staff responded quickly, and the issue is being addressed to prevent further disruption. We will be open tomorrow and operating on a normal schedule.
Thank you, as always, for your partnership and understanding. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Trey Rischmann
We are writing to inform you of an early dismissal today due to an unexpected cafeteria equipment failure that is preventing us from serving lunch. Please note that this is not a safety issue.
Early Dismissal Details:
Parent pickup begins at 10:45 a.m.
All parent pickup will take place in the Sam’s Club parking lot using their car tag
If you do not have a car tag you will need a photo ID
Please park and walk up the back steps to pick up your child
Students not picked up by a parent will not be transported home on buses until the end of the day as normal.
If you are unable to pick up your child, students may remain at school for the remainder of the day and will be provided lunch brought in from another school.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we work through this situation. If you have questions, please contact the school office.
Sincerely,
Trey Rischmann
Principal

I want to draw your attention to the Erin’s Law information that Northwest Local School District shared with you on January 6th. The law requires that all public schools implement age-appropriate curriculum to educate students on personal body safety. The goal is to empower children with the knowledge and skills to recognize, resist, and report inappropriate behavior. Lessons will be delivered by our counselors beginning in February. You will be notified of the specific dates within the next few weeks by your child’s teacher. For additional information or to review the curriculum, please visit the website by clicking HERE.
We understand that discussions around child abuse can be challenging for some families. As such, we want to make it clear that participation in this program is not mandatory. If you prefer that your child does not participate in the Erin's Law curriculum using the Fight Child Abuse resource, please click HERE to access the electronic opt-out form. This form only needs to be completed if you do not want your child to participate. You can also complete and return the paper form that was sent home last week. We will be developing an alternate plan for those students who will not be participating during that instruction during that determined class time.
The entire communication can be found here. Please reach out with any questions.
Thanks,
Trey Rischmann

I hope this message finds you well and that your family has had a strong start to the new year.
Last week, the district shared an Attendance Survey with families, and I wanted to follow up to encourage you to complete it if you have not already done so. Your feedback helps us identify barriers, improve communication, and strengthen the support we provide to our students and families.
Please Take the Survey: https://tejoin.com/participate/890020002
Thank you for taking the time to support student success at our school!
Sincerely,
