
On Wednesday, September 18th the Kindergarten Classrooms celebrated the end of their CKLA unit on Nursery Rhymes. Each classroom of students traveled to each teacher to participate in the following nursery rhyme themed activities.
Scalf's Homeroom - Little Bo Peep Sheep Round Up
Beason's Homeroom - Jack Be Nimble Candlestick
Myers' Homeroom - He Diddle, Diddle Dish & Spoon Discus
Smiley's Homeroom - Miss Muffet Spider Crawl
Rohe's Homeroom - Little Lamb Long Jump
Fenwick's Homeroom - Humpty Dumpty Egg & Spoon Race
The day ended with a medal ceremony in each classroom.








Students are enjoying working and talking about Math at Monfort Heights Elementary School. In second grade, students are learning you can add 3 addends in any order and still get the same sum! In kindergarten, students are learning that there are multiples ways to make five.

We want to remind you that Tuesday, September 10, will be a 2-hour late start day for all students. Please note that school end times will remain the same as usual.
Buses will still run on the delayed schedule, ensuring that students arrive safely to school. However, there will be no AM Pre-School sessions on this day.
*Please note -Butler Tech buses will run on normal schedules departing CHS & NWHS at 6:45 AM.
There will be a total of four late start days this year. Late Start days are marked in orange on the 2024-2025 school calendar.


Reminder: Tomorrow is the first of four 2-hour delayed start days this school year. The school doors will open at 10:30 am. Breakfast will still be served.
The other dates for 2-hour delays include Nov. 12, Feb. 4, and March 25.


Today Colerain High School sent the pep band, football players and cheerleaders to Monfort Heights to get the students excited for Elementary Night tomorrow .
Join us for the 30th Annual Elementary Night and First Responders Night, Friday, September 6th. The fun starts at 5:30 PM in the upper parking lot at Colerain High School with many fun activities planned.
Elementary students get in FREE with a paying adult and will receive a FREE hot dog and drink!

MANDATORY FOR ALL RETURNING STUDENTS
If your student(s) will be returning to the district for the 2024/2025 school year, you are required to verify your information in the Back To School Gateway Portal. This is NOT a re-enrollment and you DO NOT need an appointment.
Please log in to the Back to School Gateway Update Portal at Update.nwlsd.org
The website will request a username and password for each student to be updated. The username is each student’s district ID (the number used to purchase lunch) and the password will be their date of birth:
Username: (six digit district student ID)
Password: (Date of birth MMDDYYYY)
Example: if birthday is January 1, 2018, enter 01012018
If you do not have your child’s ID number, please contact your child’s school.

Craig solidified himself as our leadoff hitter and right fielder. He's a dynamic player with speed, power and athleticism. During the last week, Craig is hitting .312, 5H, 2B, 2 3B, HR, 4RBI, 4R and SB. On the mound .2IP, 1K, and 0 runs allowed all season.
