Collin Climer as Assistant Director of School Leadership
Northwest Local School District (NWLSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Collin Climer as the new Assistant Director of School Leadership. Collin brings nearly 26 years of experience within NWLSD, with a distinguished tenure as a building administrator for 15 years. His extensive background in education and leadership makes him an invaluable addition to the district’s administrative team.
Collin’s journey in education began in 1993 when he graduated from Morehead State University. He embarked on his teaching career at Buckskin Elementary School in the Greenfield Exempted Village School District, where he taught 5th grade. After two years, Collin transitioned to Felicity Franklin Schools, where he taught 6th grade ELA and 8th grade Math from 1995 to 1998.
In 1998, Collin joined NWLSD at Pleasant Run Middle School, where he taught 6th grade Language Arts until 2004. He later went on to serve as Assistant to the Principal at Bevis Elementary School. Over the years, he demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership, earning roles of increasing responsibility within the district. In 2008, he assumed the position of Principal of Bevis Elementary, where he served until 2013. With the closing of Bevis Elementary in 2013, Collin transitioned to Colerain Elementary, where he has spent the last decade fostering a culture of excellence and student achievement.
Collin’s wealth of experience, coupled with his unwavering dedication to student success, makes him the ideal candidate for the role of Assistant Director of School Leadership. In his new capacity, Collin will play a pivotal role in supporting our Principals in their effort to provide high-quality educational learning environments that create opportunities for all students.

Collin will step into the new role on August 1, 2024, pending Board approval.
