EOC Testing Schedule - Thursday 4/11 and Friday 4/12

EOC Testing Schedule - Thursday 4/11 and Friday 4/12

Dear Colerain High School Families,

As many of you are aware, there were major issues at the state level with EOC testing that was supposed to start today. Unfortunately, the vast majority of our students were unable to test today. Because of this, we are altering our schedule for the rest of the week. We will begin testing tomorrow with ELA II Part 1, and ELA II Part 2 on Friday. If your student is taking English II, they will need to be sure they are present both Thursday, April 11, and Friday, April 12, at 7:45 AM, ready to test.

If your student is currently not taking English II, they will need to follow the delayed schedule listed below and be in 1st bell by 10:15 for attendance to be taken. Any student with transportation issues due to the delayed schedule may come at the normal time and report to the Cafe until 10:10. This will not change our testing schedule later this month.

These end-of-course exams are vital to the academic success of our students and provide graduation pathways. It is imperative that students are well-rested, have eaten breakfast, and are present for testing each day.

Thank you for your support,

Erin Davis

Cardinal Closet - Prom Drive

It is almost prom time and we are going to hold a Prom Drive for any students who are still in need of a prom dress, a suit/tux, or accessories. We primarily have dresses at this time, but there could be some suit donations before the time comes so we would like to open to students interested in those as well.  Please use the sign-up link below and passes will be sent for students to visit next week.

Joe Bertram Memorial Staff vs. Student Basketball Game

Joe Bertram Memorial Staff vs. Student Basketball Game

Staff and students will participate in the Joe Bertram Memorial Basketball game this week!  Joe was an outgoing student of CHS, beloved teacher, and served the community as an administrator at CHS.  Joe was diagnosed with T-cell Acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2015.  The community rallied around him during his treatment.  He remained strong and was an inspiration to all.  We lost Joe in 2016.   Since then, we have held the annual memorial basketball game.  The game is a great way for staff and students to remember Joe while raising funds for the foundation.  The foundation awards an annual scholarship to both a senior at CHS and a senior at NWHS.  The foundation also donates to local cancer-based nonprofit organizations (such as The Dragonfly Foundation and Cancer-free Kids) and provides assistance to local families affected from cancer.  The foundation also donates to the Preston Brown Foundation, the Jeffrey Hoeh Memorial organization and local youth recreational sports organizations.
