We are looking forward to serving our NWLSD students delicious & nutritious breakfasts and lunches this upcoming school year! As we gear up for the year to begin, we are excited to announce we will also offer Virtual Learner Meals To Go for those who have chosen to learn virtually. This includes Pre-K virtual learners and All K-12 students that are virtual.
Meal pickup is scheduled for Fridays from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Taylor Elementary School beginning 9/4/20. Meal pick-ups are for virtual learners ONLY. (If Friday is a non-school day, the pick up will be bumped to the Thursday before).
Parents are asked to complete the NWLSD Virtual Learner Meal Service Form by Wednesday at 12:00 PM EVERY WEEK, if you are interested in picking up meals to take home. In order to receive the meals, you will need to provide the student’s name & digital ID (located on the PaySchools app) or temporary ID issued by the school in order for us to scan the barcode & issue the meals. Virtual Learners will have the same Lunch menu as in-person learners. The menus can be found by clicking here My School Menus.
Each weekly package will include:
5 breakfast kits including fruit, fruit juice, & milk
5 lunches including milk, fruit and/or vegetable
Heating, Prep and Storage instructions
Packaged meals will not be prepared if a Meal Service Form is not submitted by Wednesday at Noon.
The Meal Service Form will close every Wednesday at 12:00 PM and will reopen Saturday at 12:00 PM.
Our cafeterias will be going cashless this year. All money MUST be in each account prior to submitting the Meal Service Order Form each week. Parents will need to apply money to their PaySchools account in order to pay for student snacks & drinks. Parents can add money to the meal account using debit and credit cards or by electronic check via PaySchools.
Parents who have never used PaySchools will need to set up an account to get started. To access the PaySchools site click here: https://payschoolscentral.com/. The link is also available on the district website under Parent Resources. The link will take you to the landing page where you can register. Parents will need their child’s student ID# (which is also their lunch #) to add them to your account. Once the account is established, parents can add money or pay fees using the PaySchools mobile app. PaySchools Mobile can be downloaded on your IOS or Android device. If you qualify for free and reduced meals, please be on the lookout for mailed and/or emailed letters notifying you if your family has been pre-approved for free or reduced meals. If you have received a pre-approval letter regarding your free/reduced meal status, YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILL OUT AN ADDITIONAL APPLICATION. If the letter you received omitted a student from your household, please call the number below to rectify the omission. If your family did not receive a pre-approval letter & your child(ren) do not attend a free school, you will need to submit a free & reduced application https://payschoolscentral.com/.

Additional Safety Information:
As families arrive at the distribution locations, we ask that families remain in their vehicles. In order to maintain proper social distancing guidelines, food packages will now be placed in the trunk of each vehicle.
If you do not have a vehicle and need to walk, we ask that you maintain the proper social distancing guideline of 6 feet. It is extremely important that everyone adheres to these mandatory guidelines.
